The Polish-Dutch Krzysztof, who rather calls himself Kris, has always wanted to assimilate to Dutch society. Now he has finally become a successful lawyer and gets the chance to join his firm as a partner. All he has to do is sell out a group of Polish migrants, and betray his own heritage. Precisely at this moment, his daughter Julia, who he has not seen since she was born, arrives at his doorstep.
